This morning I got up early and went out for a walk instead of a run. I heard soft birdsongs called from treetop to treetop, rain slowly dripping from the leaves, dogs barking friendly hellos to one another and my breath and steps as I put one foot in front of the other. The sky was on incredibly shade of orange and I felt the warmth of soft rain on my face.
Fresh air works wonders. As does listening, walking and watching.
As I sit here with a cup of tea in hand, I can hear the rain pattering on my rooftop and the wind howling through the trees. They are so right about Melbourne - four seasons in a day.
